The Press Release of the Afghan Women’s Network regarding to the brutal murder of infallible child (Mahsa)

Given the intensification of human crimes recently, the culture of impunity has increased, the crimes of violence and crimes against Afghan nation, especially women and children.

Afghan Women's Network, representing Afghan women, while expressing its profound implications for the cruel and brutal murder of this infallible child, considers this brutal act contrary to Islamic and moral values ​​and denounces it in extreme words.

In the defense of the rights of women and children, the Network calls for the authorities and judicial authorities to pay close attention to the social and legal protection of women and children and we request to take urgent action regarding this issue.

The network wants to address justice, provide justice and prevent such cases:

·         Suspects of the murder of Mahsa in accordance with Article 598 and Article 548, Afghan Penal Code, should be sentenced to severe punishment.

·         The court should give punishment to these wild savants openly and front of media.

·         From our point of view, procrastination in this regard will be a sign of the injustice and weakness of the judicial system.

·         Providing justice and social and legal protection for children and families is one of the duties of the government, in particular the security forces, to be held accountable for such cases.
